Arthur M. Eckstein’s Mediterranean Anarchy, Interstate War and the Rise of Rome (2006) discuses it. Although not specifically about what you are requesting, I thought his work was quite interesting as an alternative view of ancient foreign relations.
In his treatment of mediation he cites these works: Piccirilli, L. Gli arbitrate interstatali greci. 1973 Adcock and Mosley. Diplomacy in Ancient Greece. 1975 Ager, S.L. Interstate Arbitrations in the Greek World 337 – 90 BC. 1996

In the latest "Cambridge History of Ancient Warfare, Vol I" there's a very good article on the very subject. Also, Hans Van Wees (Greek Warfare, Myths and Realities, 2004) has several hundred pages on it. For my money, he's one of the best writing today.
Not everyone on this list would agree! ) )
