Hey Jasper;
How about an article on the Light Armed cohorts for a future issue? These guys have really been neglected in reenacting although they are frequently mentioned from the late Republician era and into the Imperial period.

An article on Roman Leather armour. Collect together all the "evidence" that has been presented and debunk each item one at a time. After this have a discussion on the few credible bits of evidence that remain.

I agree with Dan I would like to SEE what we do and do not have before I step into the arena again with leather loricas again. I do like having information instead of guesstimation.

....and while we are at it, what is the evidence, beyond a couple of casual references, for 'light armed cohorts' ? If normal Legionaries, left aside their body armour for a particular task, would these not merit such a description?
