Thats a nice idea Brian.
Much better than the bleak vision I have of the devastation of allied bombing, coupled with
the need to escape from invading russian or allied troops? Bits of metal fragments would be of small import
when your very survival was in question?

Immelmann's Fokker E.I was also bombed in Dresden, and despite it's bigger size and that was a relic from the town's hero, was lost. That's what happen with wars, people becomes more interested in surviving than in saving objects. :? And we may not blame on them.
