Dilston Castle, Corbridge
#1
This was a new venue for Comitatus, just south of the Wall. Princess Anne opened the renovated castle just before our event over the 25/26 July, and it was a great privilledge to be the first to play in the castle, and light the first fire in the grate since the 18th century. The rain that seems to have hit the country on the Sunday caught us on the Sunday morning. But it faded away by lunch time so we could pack away dry once again. The sun shines on the righteous. And it's a lovely location, visit it if you can.
