Best preserved Roman Forts
#1
Avete,

I'm wondering which of the surviving Roman military forts is best preserved.

To my limited knowledge the best preserved seems to be the Diocletianic fort in the Jordanian desert (Qasr Bsheir).

Are there better preserved forts anywhere in the Roman world ?
Diocletianus palace in Split (Croatia) and Galerius palace Felix Romuliana (Gamzigrad, eastern Serbia) are preserved to some extent, although they are not millitary but imperial fortified palaces.
