"Lost" City of Altinum Found Near Venice
#2
I find this information just a little strange for when I was visiting my friends in Venice just a couple of years ago we went to the Roman City of Altinum infact we even went into the Museum that is there. Then from there one can see the the island that the inhabitants fled to at the time of Attila there is a tremedous church on this island that can be seen for miles, infact it is claimed to be the very first foundations of the City of Venice. I must mention of course that there are not a tremendous amount of ruins to be seen but enough to show that there is a settlement there.
