Recreating a Greek Cavalryman

Today a couple of Comitatus members decide to play at greek cavalry.

I have been working on my Scythian impression for a little while now and it is starting to come together. I have already made the soft kit but I still have to do my belt, get my weaponry together, and do some more sewing on clothing.
I also need to make a scyth saddle and tack which is a whole world in itself. hock:

Today we were all riding bareback. John and Colin even got leopard skins!

Colin (the other greek) is hoping to ride with us next year and as he was down at the yard doing some skill at arms, so we kidnapped him afterwards to be a Greek. He was dressed up with spare kit from the back of Joh's car, so nothing too special but a great start!

Surely 3 Greek period cavalry together must be some kind of world first? :lol:
