After a battle, what would be done about dead Legionnaires? What would happen to their gear and personal belongings? Would families receive any word or compensation?<br>

the equivelant sum of thier gear was often paid to thier heirs, there were burial clubs within units to pay for a tombstone and proper funeral. I think if thier gear was still useable it would then be redistributed (not sure though). <p></p><i></i>
