Neil Amstrong

So, Armstrong did not say "a man" but, as we always suspected, "man": here's the link.

The researcher who seems to have the last word on this matter, seems to be a decent chap, presenting Armstrong's error as something praiseworthy ("Armstrong may have subconsciously drawn from his poetic instincts to utter a phrase that, far from being incorrect - was perfect for the moment"). Besides, he publishes his results immediately after he has finished his investigations, instead of postponing it to next July's fortieth anniversary, when he could have generated a lot of additional publicity.

By Armstrong himself, who claimed he had said "a man".

Doesnt it make sense to question it? :?

anyways, in the german translation it reads "einen Menschen" (i.e. a man)

... nonetheless I'm surprised about the dedication of this scientist to unveil the truth Big Grin

OK, I have always known it as ...'for man' so never thought to question it.
Hell yeah he was on the moon, and I actually met Ed Bean, the fourth man on the moon!
What a great experience....even for an 'old fart' like myself! Big Grin
