Quote:Wendy. I hope you are not the young lady who was wearing a light brown coloured dress who slipped and fell on her bottom and slid down the grass bank at the rear of the Forum square at Corbridge, if that pic' is in my collection I promise not to show it for I took a few from that point of the Forum.

...
This is Ursa, the 'water girl' and daughter of the very blood covered surgeon - i was the one who fell down the bank on a water round - tho i was wearing a light green dress so it could have been someone else on a different occasion.
If it was me, i wouldn't mind seeing the photo! Smile

I suddenly remember taking a group photo with the guys when we went to see an other fort on satruday. 3 or 4 different camera's were used to take a picture. Where are those photo's????

Hi Ursa, welcome to RAT! Thanks for the water! Big Grin

I have the same problem Wendy...I can go to loads of events and lucky if I get one decent photo....usually from someone else.

Indeed, the drinks during the shows were the best! Hope to see you all again, sometime soon!

Ursa.

Perhaps it was you Ursa, but Brian was confused by the brown dirt on your backside, after you slid down the bank?

All that falling down the slope reminds me of the big scene in the movie McClintock.

I've attached a link to my Flickr collection of photos Ursa and I took at the Corbridge event. They are the most recent additions to the set at the bottom of the page.

I'll be working on a few more over the next few weeks (trying to get rid of the infernal ENglish Heritage Green Tape).

An awesome event both to watch and to take part in.

I just have to repeat myself Very cool to see a full Century

(one day we will have a century in Ireland  )
"The Kaiser knows the Munsters,
by the Shamrock on their caps,
And the famous Bengal Tiger, ever ready for a scrap,
And all his big battalions, Prussian Guards and grenadiers,
Fear to face the flashing bayonets of the Munster Fusiliers."

Everytime i see new picture it reminds me of one of the best events I had so far. Great there are still more pictures coming up. Hopefully the near future will bring us much more of this kind of shows (and hopefully Nijmegen will have 80+ legionaries on the field one of the next festivals)

Great event at Corbridge and fabulous weather. The funniest moment for me was the Mexican wave with the Pila as we waited to enter the Tardis arena.
I thought the other groups (non roman) at this strange event at the rugby club stadium were wonderful in their appreciation.
Roll on the next large event.
