Sassanid Empire = New Persian Empire, which replaced the Parthian empire in the early 3rd century and then became a big problem for Rome.

Simplistic but cool -- it shows each empire at its maximum extent and pretty much ignores the fact that many of these empires co-existed with each other, sometimes for centuries. Still, a neat teaching tool.
