Some weekend in October or early November.

I suggest the last weekend of October or one in November. I (and I think the same goes for the Belgian friends) have Roman festivals in both the 1st and 3rd weekend of October.

I today at work that I could not come the weekend 17./18.10. either because I couldn't take off Friday, 16.10. And I definitely would need that for the long trip to Switzerland.

4th weekend of october, i.e. 25th 26th, if it were OK with Jona?
If it´s so late in the year again, the weather might be not so nice...

No, that moment, I am in between trips to Iran and Jordan. But let my schedule not be a concern.

As you´re between trips then, I guess you also can´t attend the the weekends before and after that one. So if we want to go for October, this weekend still seems to be the best option. For the weather later doesn´t see a good option, and for some of use still having the end of the event season, earlier could also be of some problem for them.

I can only say that you must not take my schedule into account - it is simply too complex. I fear I cannot attend, but that shouldn't stop you from going ahead.

Bugger!

It's a pity the Roman world didn't extend to the antipodes.

I can see a not so well accepted thesis on the way...
