Have fun!

Inspired by Jurjen and César - here's my new belt in the same fashion.. Proto-apron type -

I stitched mine with sinew thread.

Buckle in solid silver from Holger Ratsdorf
Plates are DSC tinned brass plates but with added brass ball terminals
Frogs are (which I tinned) are a combination of Hod Hill hinges and Velsen discs (Nodge Nolan)
Studs are from Mark at Clang Armory and are a Vindonissa type in silver.
Strap ends, again from Nodge are from Tekije and the pendants from Carnuntum (all tinned by me)

You don't only have the skills, but you know how to make things pretty to!

Just one question from the ignorant Celt: What period is this? I would say second century ad?

Very nice Ade. The leather part of mine is ready, still have to finish some plates and attaching them all to the belt. Hope to be able to do that over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks Folkert. This is early principate/early first Century AD. The forerunner of the full separate apron as on Jurjen's belt.

Look forward to the pictures Jurjen! I like that green colour leather. very different.

While there is no possibility to do by an stamp on a belt, we do by foundry.

Nice belts Alexsander! I like the apron terminals.

Here a picture of my terminals. I made them as artist impression of the Tekije finds. (So I was inspired by those, but didn't want to make an exact copy)
