Anyone fluent in Portugese? This looks very promising, but it is in the romance language I read least well.

O escudo grego : a simbologia de um equipamento defensivo
The Greek Shield : symbology of a defensive equipment

It's loaded with images. Like the one below that may be my new favorite blazon.

A Spartan, being asked a question, answered "No." And when the questioner said, "You lie," the Spartan said, "You see, then, that it is stupid of you to ask questions to which you already know the answer!"

I wish I could read Portugese as well.

But its worth a look through just for all of the images. I think its finally helped me figure out what I want to do on my Boeotian when I finally get it done Big Grin ..

And as an aside, if you are interested in more info on the individual vases themselves, you can take the numbers from the individual listings and cross reference them on the Beazely archive ( http://www.beazley.ox.ac.uk/ )to get more info (in english) and detailed images.

Thanks for the link!
