besides kalkriese, do we have any real evidence that cavalry sports masks & helmets were worn in combat <p></p><i></i>

How does finding the mask mean it was used in combat? They found horse shoes, scythes, rings, and all sorts of stuff that isn't combat related at the site. <p></p><i></i>
