Uniform in this statue

This a sketch i did of a torso at the Leeds City Museum. There was no information to go along with the statute, so i was wondering if a few peeps on here could possibly throw some light on the period and who would wear such a uniform.

The exact same armour can be seen on the altar of Domitius Ahenobarbus dated to the Republican period. It's probably the armour of an officer (a tribune ?). Given its short length I'd say it was meant for a cavalryman.

I've seen an equestrian statue depicting this same armour on Travis Clark's website which has been down for some time now.

Jurjen. I know it's a bit off topic but with your picture of Trajan you have confirmed my belief that he wears Feminalia, just relateing back to another topic!!
