Change has come!

Welcome to Romanarmytalk v3. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the new forum setup, check your settings in your User Control Panel and update where necessary.
Also, make sure you change your bookmarks!

There will probably be more minor changes soon, so keep track of this thread!

Thanks Jasper! A very nice lay-out.

Suggestion: the links are now grey, I prefer them again in a color; and I prefer them again to open in a new window. Newsbot appears to have some troubles (no news since January 10).

Of course this is no criticism; it was great to have this forum back so swiftly.

When I am online, I get the message "offline" above my avatar. And of course we need a favicon... a trivial detail, which means that I am actually pretty happy with the design, and have only details to mention.

Like the new look -- familiar yet fresh.

It is great to have the Forum back.

I do miss the "Recent Posts" on the Index Page -- it was a very handy feature.

Thanks for your hard work Jasper -- it is much appreciated.

Jona:
- Newsbot needs to be resurrected. That was no standard feature and I'll need to re-mod a news aggregator either embodied as a Newsbot or not
- Link color can be changed. We're using a standard template now that otherwise seems fine.
- Offline: check your user control panel preferences, this may be due to the fact that you're 'hidden' while online
David:
- Recent posts will have to be re-modded too.

This looks really great Jasper! A few things:

- Needs a link back to RAT.com
- Where's the logo? Big Grin

What about something like this?

I didn't know if it needed to be 225x75 or not. Smile

It seems that the laudes have been removed? Good idea.
The avatar has been reduced to a constrained format?

Will the 'how to', 'search' and other functions, formerly displayed below the logo, return at some future stage?

Laudes: not on purpose, they're just not standard. Perhaps we should open a poll on the subject?
Avatar: yup, the max sizes actually work now!
Other functions: probably

I´m also very happy, the new RAT is online now. "It looks so very new but also familiar - like cola with lemon." (sorry, i am addicted to quote the Simpsons  )

Seriously, very good and fast change. Thank you, Jasper!
