Need to know the basics

Greetings,
I'm contemplating putting together a Roman kit and I wanted to ask if there is an online resource that clearly lists (with photos) the main parts of the soldier's kit with correct nomenclature. I want to get the basics down so that I I know what to search for on the forum when I starting having questions. Any help would be appreciated.
