Without checking the map of the exact locations I can say that the camp Hedemünden could not be too far away from Hameln. In that area in Niedersachsen there are several traces of the Romans to be found.

Of course you are right, Hameln is the town of the fairy tale "Der Rattenfänger von Hameln" (the Rat Catcher).
