A Roman Legionary Helmet found in Poland by Maria Jazdizewsk

Following Fernando Quesada’s post http://www.romanarmy.com/rat/viewtopic.php?t=20581 stating that more editions of Gladius Magazine are to be found for free on the internet, I came across this paper interesting paper.

Looks like a celtic helmet with a roman style brow-quard, never seen any helmet like this before....

Shouldn't we be looking at it from the other angle.... Helmet finds should define our definitions of Helmet typology. Not the other way around.

Besides, applying Robinson's typology is only useful if you are going to use it draw further deductions about the helmet or about the changes in Roman Helmets over time.

I have been in contact with Dr. Mike Thomas about this helmet who classifies it indeed as an Agen-Port type.
