Actually, the tomb had been detected some years ago, soon after the movie came out, due to a strange noise coming from inside. But it wasn't until recently that it was realized this was the sound of the occupant spinning in his grave...

mm, I don't think it is the same.
About Macrinus are some findings probably from his city (Brixia) and also a tomb. This is not a tomb. This is just a mausoleum. The excavations here started just in september 2008 because of the italian law that force house builders to make archeological investigations before start housing works in suspect areas (this soil is Rome, so it is highly suspected... ). |
