The professional scutum testing opportunity has been put off until late 2009 at the earliest. Seems "Roman soldiers" are not as "flashy" as Gladiators.
We will resume our own scutum testing experiments as soon as possible.
Pilum too.. vs "Celtic" shields... I now have a formula for making ballistics gel! Might be kinda fun to see a pilum tear through a Celtic shield and into it's protectee!
