Hmmm. On which original is Anthrax´ helmet based?
Why do they let a gladiator with a 3rd c. AD helmet fight against one with a 1st c. AD helmet (Lucius / Cratos)?
Why are the gladiators not wearing any textile armour, which is to be seen on basically all ancient depictions of gladiators? What is the shield grip construction of the provocators shields based on?
All in all not very convincing, IMO.
In the sense of public education I think it is not very responsible to put up such a hollywood-inspired display on public events. At least the grouping is correct, though.

There is a vase in France depicting a retiarius fighting a secutor who wears a narrow-brimmed helmet similar to that of Antrax.

Reply for Caiustarquitius and Aurelianus
As it says the name "ARS DIMICANDI" (art of fight), the primary purpose of our association (and the principal passion of his affiliate) it's to privilege and to experiment art of the ancien fight and not armament.
To us it mainly interests to reconstruct the fight and not the armaments.
Our armaments are in phase of reconstruction, because actual are almost destroyed after years of usury from fight.
Excuse me for my bad English

Hi Rita!
That is O.K.
1. However, i think it is not very responsible to show such equipment in public. Visitors will remember this as what gladiators have to look like.
2. I wonder how one can try to try out ( I am not going to use the word "experiment" here) how gladiators fought withou gladiator´s equipment... ^^
it may very well be a lot of fun for anyone involved etc., but if shown in public, it is irresponsible.

I don't belive to my eyes to read your post
We are not irresponsible. I don't understand because you use such a serious word.
Our armament is not so wrong as you say. I don't understand these criticisms.
I have seen in Europe many groups that propose him to the public with very worse armaments of ours and forms ever existed. Besides they propose joinings among gladiatorial not true.
I don't understand because you have to attack against our armaments.
