My new late roman boots
#1
Just went this afternoon to get them, so they are still new (not for much time...I expect  )

They´re the first custom made boots I ever had. Fit like a glove (at least that´s what we say in Spanish  ).We´re lucky to have a real shoemaker in my town.

They cost me 120€, if you guess.

Now I must find some colourful socks to wear with them. That will be easier.
-This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere. Explain again how
sheep´s bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes.

Very, very nice boots! Now, if you want a pair of properly made woolen socks, hand made from authentically dyed wool, I know someone who can make them for you. I'll post some pictures later.

Looking good! Big Grin Are those laces sewn on over the toes? They look neat.

They are made by an artisan of my city, Vitoria. He has done most (if not all) Cohors Prima Gallica boots, incluiding Aitor´s calcei.

The laces are sewn, (the photo was a bit blurry, sorry)
