This post has been removed by the author. I do not see a point to being on a forum where moderators such as Matt Lanteigne aka Magnus can practice harassment and hypocritical behavior. RAT seems to have slipped into a place where people of this ilk can do or say whatever they want AND since he's a moderator, I guess it's all okay w/ the forum owners. Good luck, but I am done here.

MY home-made waffles, dude, with maple syrup! Bacon or Spam on the side, applesauce, and cold milk. Crawl away from the table completely stuffed, moaning, and nap for 2 hours.
Though I *have* met some excellent meatloaf now and then!

I even like a good spaghetti sauce...with fresh veggies in it from the garden.

Meat loaf is good. Try it with fresh grated white bread, lemon juice and zest, a touch of sage and lean beef, bound with egg.

Perch-fillets with chanterelles in cream-sauce and blueberry-pie afterwards. All taken with own hands, yummy!

Quote:Is it real maple syrup?
Oh, yes, I should have mentioned! It's actually made by my wife's family in Vermont!
By the way, my wife also used to work (as a teenager) in the creamery where they still make Cabot cheese. It's at the bottom of the hill where she grew up. Terrible job, she says. One of her brothers had the job of cleaning out milk tanker trucks. Yum... (I won't go on, or you'll give up dairy products!)

My toad in the hole (sausages in Yorkshire pudding) has the house fighting for leftovers! particularily when served with homemade onion gravy and roast potatoes, and followed by my brioche bread and butter pudding with toffee sauce-- well there have been calls for my domestic deification!
Maybe its a british thing.............
