The basic shape of the decoration is common for many eastern germanic tribes. The wide decorated trousers (bottom cuffs not shown in this pic) are also common in Iranian and other middle eastern parts of the empire.

I joined high school track to practice javelins but they uncultured swine didn't have any!!!!! Cry Though pole vault,long jump and hurdles were valid skills. I had to make my own javelins and got pretty good farthest throw was 63 paces and a pulled tricep.
