In the absence of Nealatin, I've found a product that works rather well.
It's Johnson's E-127 Flux-N-Solder, a pure tin solder paste. This company is out of Princeton, Iowa, and can be found with Google. If I can figure out how to post a photo, it will be of a tinned breast plate along with an untinned one, and this is the first thing I've ever tinned.
