The mother of a friend of mine was sitting in a tram, when a young man approached her, demanding money. Indignant, she said that he ought to find a job. The man suddenly had a knife in his hand - which he soon regretted when that old lady (70+) shouted "and you are menacing me as well?!" and started to strike him with her umbrella. The other people in the tram had to safe the man.

Meanwhile, the last word about dangerous grannies has already been spoken long time ago by Monty Python: the senile delinquents (starts at 1'31).
