Adding panel lines to the Stained Tents
#16
The maker of the canvas tents we have is Panther Primtives.

A few years ago they quoted me an additional $100 to make the tents with panel seams. They wouldn't make them with smaller panels but would simply fold the tent where a seam should be and sew it down.. to simulate a seam.

As far as variation in color: It is easy to get that with spraying.... kinda happens if you are less careful when applying the color.

Actually doing the panel lines takes maybe 30-45 minutes and costs about nothin... Either way is technically FARBE, but will look better either way. And less farbe than the white shiny sunforger...

Couldn't you just put a regular lawn sprinkler next to the tent and let it sprinklify the tent overnight, then see what happened on the inside? Unless you're on water restrictions out there like we are out here....

When we had them up atth elast event there was morning dew, a bit o' the fogginess, and wee dram o' the rain... that and a hose soaking test..the color did not run...

Hosed the tent for two hours, no runs drips or errors, and it went thru a good thunderstorm (2 really) the same way, I even have pics of a piece of white canvas we left under it to show ANY color transfer, there was none. I will get thes posted on the site too eventually. The Stain holds and is unaffected by long term moisture.

Also waterproofing seems to have remained unaffected! Inside of the tent stayed bone dry. Got photos of that too.

Thus far an incredibly successful venture.
