German Archaeology Specific Language
#1
I have discovered that there exist some documents written in German by
that seem to use a lot of technical language that was very specific to the
field of Archeology. It completely defeats common free translation software and seems to confound professional translators and is even difficult for most native German speakers. It is as if a doctors technical medical
report was given to a first grade class to review. So is their a German
Archeology specific translation resource available? Preferably free or
low cost.

Your best bet is probably to post the specific phrases here, and someone will help you, John.

There is an archeological dictionary online

http://www.grabungswoerterbuch.de/

Beyond that, I'll be happy to herlp. I do professional translation and I did a bit of archeology at both Hamburg University and Trinity Dublin (though I only have the kleiner Ausgrabungsschein).
