Next, cover the entire face of the shield with your glue of choice. I am using a standard PVA. Let the glue tack up for just a few minutes.
Then carefully cut a piece of material that will cover the face, and leave material to wrap around the back. Ensure that the material is centered on the face and start to work a putty knife lightly from the center to the edges of the bowl. Push the material down to the rim and pin it to the spot where the shield's bowl turns out at roughly 120 degrees to the rim, BUT DO NOT PUSH ON THE RIM YET.
