(Please note, that I made these dioramas long, long ago before I knew anything about authenticity and realistic configuration ...  )

As I've figured out that many of you are interested in other periods as well, I'll post my non-Roman stuff also.

Wonderful work! Now, when exactly are you going to put together the entire Battle of Pharsalus, so we can see how that fight really went?

In the Roman Diorama, you used Esci and the really-old Revell figurines?

I think, the "Panther"-Tank makes short work with the tommy-paras on the WWII Diorama  ?

yes, Revell and Esci were the most common and almost everywhere available ... I didn't know then, there were so much other brands. The Revells are actually Praetorians ;-) ) ...

If the diorama had been bigger in size I had put my Elephant, StuG and Tiger along as well ;-) )

here come two further close-ups from the Roman diorama

The ESCI-Legionaires are very good, but the Praetorians from REVELL are very bad i think (das böse sch-wort paßt da am besten  )

There are some producers which have very good roman soldiers in there program, e.g. HÄT, ITALERI, ZVEZDA(co-Producer from ITALERI).

I have a good idea for a new WWII-Diorama: one TIGER-I or Royal-Tiger and 10-12 destroyed Sherman-M4s

well, its a strange coincidence, that on my diorama the best (AFAIK) and the worst figurines are united  (actually after painting the Revell's and mixing them with the ESCI's the former blended in a bit ;-) ) )

btw, remember the Revell German paras ... these were even worse ... I liked them though 8)

Hello,
I just happened to run into these:
http://hat.com/Othr7/
All sorts of Diorama as it seems, and since I could not find any mention of these even when using the search-routine of this fabulous website ( hope I did not miss out on it, though...), I thought I'd be better posted here.

I got to it by finding these:
http://www.hat.com/Othr7/Alquier01P.html
http://hat.com/Othr7/Alquier03P.html

As far as I'm concerned : well-made.
(As are the Diorama pictured further up here, of course --- Carsten M..)
I clearly can imagine some museum's custodes to "lust after" such things.

Great work!

By the way, do you people recomend the Trumpeteer figures? I'm starting my first diorama w/ legionaries & african infantry and I feel a bit lost... :?

trumpeteer is the company? Never heard of. just post a link to their site (if any exists), so I may have a look at ... but, anyway I used Revell's Praetorians, which IMO is one of the worst products you can probably buy. but painting figurines can conceal a lot of flaws and most people like the result though.
