Hi this is probably my first serious posting on here. I was wondering what type of unarmed or ground fighting combat (if any) was taught to the legionaries. As i know pankration was taught to spartan and other greek hoplites, was this style or any other taught to the legions of rome?

Christopher, try these. You could also try the Search function to delve around the site even more deeply.

It seems an interesting question, but not worth starting a whole new thread to talk about.
