Torcs silvered
#1
I know that torcs were made from bronze/brass, gold, or silver.

Is there any evidence to suggest that the Romans silvered their torcs when made of bronze/brass?

I am making a pair using twisted wire. Thus I was wondering if silvering them would be "accurate". My Lorica is brass and the silver would stand out nicely.

Making torcs out of silver would be very expensive. However, being that the Romans silvered or tinned everything I thought silvering my brass torcs would not be a far fetched idea.

Any help or suggestions would be apppreciated.

Thanks
