Yeah, to squish them you didn't stomp on em, you went and got a hammer or a big 2x4. Step on them and they kinda wrap around your foot and try to bite you. They are long enough to get above the top of your shoe.
The biggest I saw was bigger around then my finger and well over a foot long, probably closer to 15"

You could put that thing on a leash and take it for a walk.

We had them in Borneo too shinyhead, pretty venomous too
Skorpions too, but never stepped on one fortunately, guess the gods were looking after us!

the female wolfspider indeed!
and the best part of the story is: The male wolfspider, in order to mate, catches a fly which he wraps extremely well in silk. He offers the spider as a present to the female, and while the female spider is unwrapping her gift the male wolfspider mates with her to prevent being killed............. After which he runs off and takes the wrapped fly with him!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dontcha just love that! M.VIB.M.
