I am currently holding Archaeologia Aeliana vol. 31 (2002), entitled "The Roman Fort at Newcastle upon Tyne" (Thanks, Ross!), so I can probably shed some light on "who came up with this kind of thinking"!

I posted the most recent (2006) plan of the site six months ago. Do you have something more up-to-date?

Hello there is yours the origional 2002 one or the revisied one (2nd edition which is the one i have got) which was published this year and is a lot thicker and is a heck of a lot more accurate and detailed

Also i have a detailed book on the vicus(town) of Pons Aelius

My Map is Jan 2010, so it is more recent and there are 6/7 things which your one is missing=i checked your one
