Salve All..
Am in a reenactor unit in the UK as an auxilliary. I was cleaning all the gear the other day (as any concientious pongo would)and it occured to me that it all looked a bit well ..Roman. The thing is that I've read an awful lot just recently about how the auxilla would be using a lot of their own native/cultural gear. My outfit reenacts the batavian auxilliaries attached to the X1111 legion 1st half of the 1st century and I was wondering if any of you lot could provide a few tips about variations that would be a bit more authentic than the bog standard issue items...you know belts, daggers etc
kind regards
Karus
