What boardgames would you recommend. My favourates are as follows:
1. Command and colors: Ancients
2. Hannibal
3. Conquest of Empire
4. Britannia

Conquest of the Empire is a favorite around here -- a simple game we can all play, even our 7 year old grandson. One doesn't have to be a war game fan to like it.

Also considering Command & Colors for the same reasons (and looking forward to your review PunkReaper)

If you can find it you might take a look at Eagles by GDW It is long out of print but you might find it on E-bay. Avalon Hill re-released it as Caesar's Legions and you might have more luck finding that.

Also from Avalon Hill: Siege of Jerusalem which is fun but could use a re-release and updating (perhaps by GMT) Again this one too is long out of print but does surface on E-bay every now and again.

Hannibal is a great game and can also be played on-line using the ACTS system.
