Crate of samian ware found at Pompeii?
#1
I've read of a quantity of samian ware found still in its packing crate at Pompeii, does anyone know if there are any images of this?

It is the so called Atkinson's box, containing a lot of samian ware from la Graufesenque (Gaul).

It's published in an article: Atkinson, D. 'A hoard of samian ware from Pompeii', J.Roman Studies, 4 (1914) pp.26-64. I think you can find it in a good university. Journal of roman studies is not a rare review....
