Citizenship and the Legio VII
#1
Salvete!

Today at work I stubled over something:

I read a book by a danish author (forgot his name right now but will check at work again tomorrow and post the details). When discussing Roman citizenship he mentions briefly that the legio VII was refilled by Augustus before it was transferred to Dalmatia and that the new soldiers recieved citizenship when they were enlisted. I know that non citizen legions were recruited before (by Caesar) but does anyone know where I can find more info on this specific event?
