Hi , Yeh the pilum is gonna get sorted soon . The helmet is the Gallic I Aquincum . The photo was taken outside Arbeia Fort at south shields where I work as Historical Interpriter for the schools that come but photoshop had a hand in the final pic . The pilum was bought in a hurry but will get sorted out as I say .

I have a dodgy pilum as well, not the same one but dodgy as well! It is now sorted tho!  A Nice L. Morgan weighted one.......

Sorry, I'm harping on am I? My apologies. I was at Arbeia last year, quite an interesting place. The commanders villa and the gate house are good reconstructions.....would be cool to see the whole fort rebuilt!
But I am rambling on......Good impression mate!

It would be fantastic to see the whole fort rebuilt . There is talk of a revamp and compulsory purchase orders of houses around the fort but it probably just talk .

I used to be a member quite a time ago but only for a very short time . just used to pop in and out . I never used to post anything of iterest .
