I will be going to Paris in June- any thoughts on this museum? Recommended Roman exhibits?

Hello Caballo !

It's a very nice museum, but it contains real treasures, with some artefacts of military equipements, and a famous altar from the VIII legio Augusta to Jupiter from Pont à Mousson (East of France)

see: http://www.leg8.org/viewtopic.php?t=245

I suggest you to look the websites of our friends from Viaromana (photos : Quintus) , you can see some extracts of the romans collections of Saint-Germain En Laye

PS : Welcome in France, have a nice trip !

Was there yesterday, sadly the rooms with Gaul /during Caesar's conquest were closed due to renovation. Very nice otherwise, indeed.
Greets!

Whatever there was Dan, yeah. They only had some on display in the 'Comparative archaeology section'.

Didn't say. The notice was just a "We're sorry, but we're renovating this section. Please come back someday" sort of thing
