I'm pretty sure it was Varro who attributed the invention of mail to the Celts. My sources are packed away atm though (I hate moving house). <p></p><i></i>

I hadn't realised that "scale mail" was in use ( another [pet hate now ) ,,,, and plate mail ?<br>
