Martin, thats sooooo great! That sure is a laudes from me Big Grin

I've been fascinated by the Gommern belt since it was first on exhibition in Halle...

Now I`m going to think about a sagum that goes perfectly with this awesome belt

(still missing are the end pieces of the belt straps. I've contacted the Landesmuseum für Vorgeschichte Halle (Saale) about details of those and am still waiting for an answer)

Really impressing, Martin! Big Grin

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Where do you hang things from?
It is very nice, but like Franklin says, wider than I imagined!! Confusedhock:

More like a back support than a belt! :?

You don't move. You don't breath or hang things from it. You just shine and impress people. :-) )

Well, it certainly impresses me- a belt for a king! If I could give more than one laudes, i would, but one will have to do!

Holy Frak I though us late romans had wide belts. That is more like a girdle, a very shiny and pretty girdle.

Finished it finally. Got more info in the meantime, so already know of some minor shortcomings, so I will be able to do it better next time ;-) )

Wow! That's not a belt, it's nearly a corset!

I'd still wear it, though! It looks really good, Martin. Another piece of your fine handwork.
