If you have or can find the size of that canteen Patrik, that'll be a somewhat useful measure of the scale that could help.

Nice looking rack! Please note this item has three forge welds, a difficult technique to master and reconstruct properly. Needs a very hot fire and a blacksmith who knows this trade! Good luck!

Or do it with a little concession with arc or SIG welding... :wink: If proper made, the final aspect is very similar.

Patrik, do you know where the picture was taken or (with other words) in wich museum this piece is, where it is found, etc. That helps a lot with finding measurements of it.

It has been found with a lot of other equipment in the well from Rainau-Buch. All these things are displayed in the Limes museum of Aalen.
