Acer/silex dentibus minor???

"Parvus, -a" also means small.

And if Caliga is "boot", and Caligula "little boot", could dentula be "small tooth"?

Vitruvius uses denticuli to mean "little teeth".
Plural of acer ("sharp") would give denticuli acrês ("sharp little teeth").

Would that be as applied to a person, a nickname?

What? A pug with little teeth, O.K.

But with sharp teeth? Confusedhock:

Don´t let anyone know my pug that there are pugs with sharp teeth, for if he find´s out, he´s gonna look even more depressed. And that´s a burden noone´s going to want to bear, i´m sure....

Thank you, everyone. The name is for my manuballista, actually, but is inspired by Davenport T. Pug, as well. He is actually a she Smile . She punched a little hole in an aluminum blind vane last year.

You noticed the little gladius I made for her. I still have to make her a marching pack and a scutum so she will be ready for the next campaigning season. That shot was taken last August, at my legio's last encampment of the year, near the Cape.

Denticuli acrês is prefect, Duncan.

Caius, that is a very handsome pug! Don't let him read this thread, and your secret will be safe Smile

Kleine scherpe tand in the Dutch language Smile

Parvulus dens acutus you could also say: pravus dens acutus or denticulus acutus I love Latin
All are singular

I am very sure about the translation

With a little scutum on her back, she'd be perfect for a TESTVDO Big Grin
