Embosing and Tinning Scabbard plates ect ?

The easiest way to do what you want is that (NOT PERIOD). You have to do a electrolytic silvering (or comissioned it), and cover with paint or so the things you want to be not covered. The silver or tin will cover the unpainted surfaces, then you get out the paint and the surface will be metal base coloured.

Another way is to tin all the surface and then get out the tin with some sandpaper first ant then with steel wool. Polish the surfaces to get a shiny appearence.
