What kind do you prefer?

Embossed? Pierced? Simple one, frames with a mouth piece and chape?

If you want pictures of scabbards you only have to ask. Many people here will be only too happy to oblige.

Look here the sword of Tiberius and the fulham sword:

Or here one founded at Vindonissa (at the bottom of the page):

A chape for a Mainz embossed:

And some "mouth" for Mainz embossed:

The use of the 3 last pieces are in a similar way as the so-called Sword of Tiberius: The mouth and the chape pieces embossed puted over a plain surface of white coloured metal (brass silvered or tinned).

Another swords have in adition to the mouth and the chape all the central part embossed. an exemplar of this type is the Vindonissa one and the Fulham one.

I think you don't have to use the same dimensions of the real one. You can adapt the size to the blade you have.

Good luck!

I have to say that Lvcivs Alfenvs Avitianvs has not got it wrong, this is where he mentions about the blanking out method. The raised relief figures have to be blanked out, this can even be done with paint. Then when the tinning or silvering is done the paint is then removed, this gives a background field of silver or tin, with of course the raised figures nice and yellow. I would recomend silver as opposed to tin, for silver is more stronger.
