One of the unpleasant side-effects of the copyright laws is that translations that are made available online, are usually quite old. So it's quite special to find a quite recent translation of Tacitus: go here. The name of the translator is not mentioned, but the Histories are done by Wellesley.
Somehow, I have a feeling that the webmaster has broken the law; but if you copy the text for personal use, I suppose you're allowed to download the files.
