Mike,
Simon's next book for the Eagle's Series is titled Centurion. It was suppossed to have been released in the United States in late November, but has been delayed. I think it might be pushed back as late as Maarch 2008 now.

I ordered the first two Simon Scarrow books in the Eagle series a few weeks ago. When they arrived, the second arrived first, and so I waited in poorly concealed anticipation for the first. I have not read that fast or that intensely since I was in high school (no time, but I made time this time...)

I stayed up until 3AM last night to finish the Eagle's Conquest, and realized that I had not ordered the next two!

Fortunately while I'm off making a living I have a great wife (well, soon to be) who scoured my little southwest town until she found them at our Barnes and Noble! It promises to be yet another late night...

Kyle, I know exactly how you feel. I now make sure I own 2 titles ahead. I'm reading the Eagles and the wolves presently with only 20 pages to go.
Happy reading! Smile

Must be a popular name. Last year i read a book titled "Centurion" by Peter W. Mitsopoulos, takes place in A.D. 9.

Aye, that is a good plan, I must learn to adhere to it!

They are a great change from the Victorian era book I read for a friend who's a teacher to see if it would make good reading, on the subject of Caesar's Gallic wars. And trying to rummage through the detailed descriptions of Rome's Legions' metal shields, steel helms, and leather armor was startling. I suppose it was a good book when written in the 1890's, or thereabouts, and certainly had 'good morals' as it was a boy's book (can you imagine youth used to have to grow up reading, not watching TV?), but the historical value was almost nill.

A quick question; is "Centurion" still dealing with Cato and Macro? I've gotten through 4 of the 7 currently released books, and was hoping that it would cover enough to lead to Vespasian's rise to Emperor, but Mr. Scarrow appears too detailed to do that in 7 books! I could get a surprise when I read the last 3 though, that are on their way.
